28 Days of Connection: Tracey Selingo

Welcome to Day Five of 28 Days of Connection: Love Celebration!

It is a delight to introduce you to Tracey Selingo.

Here is an excerpt from Tracey’s about page:

” Now I know, the power of love delivers heaven on earth. And by heaven I mean a state of grace and peace, clarity and trust, enoughness without the roughness that’s so easy to inflict upon yourself. I learned that roughness is a way of separating yourself from your own goodness. I learned that heaven on earth means living in the present moment—as it is, as you are.

The sanctity of the present moment—of right here, right now— is heart-centered and worry-free. Living in the present disables fear, longing and stress. And that, my friend, is the most freeing thing you can do for yourself. When you disable fear, you empower love and energize your soul in ways you can’t imagine possible.”

If you have been reading this series since Day One, you might be realizing by now that I am sharing with you the energy and message of people whom I truly love.  I didn’t “just” source from my peer group; I intentionally chose to introduce you to the people whom I connect with, whom I trust to share my personal journey with.

Tracey and I met through Soul Caller training over one year ago.  Tracey’s depth and range of understanding and generosity of heart and spirit is inspiring and enlivening.   Tracey’s newest tagline is “woo your world”. Yes, please – woo it!

Here are Tracey’s answers:

1. What is your definition of love?

All That Is.

2. What does it feel like when you are connected with love?

I feel completely at peace with a deep, deep, deep sense of joy. I actually can not find the words to clearly convey what that actually feels like. It’s profound.

3. In your opinion, why would one choose to close to love? From that closed space, what is one practice or step a person could take to open to love again?

Love is trust—complete, unconditional, trust. In our human experience, that is such a difficult thing to be open to 24/7. After all, we’re not on the earth to float on a cloud. We are here to figure out how to be divinely human. So when we are faced with the opportunity to simply trust All That Is, which means trusting the experiences of joy and sorry, happiness and heartbreak, success and failure it’s difficult to give up the control we mistakenly think we have.

We tend to batten down the hatches during our life storms. I’m not a big fan of reviewing our personal history, but I do think it’s helpful to take on a detached view of our difficult experiences when we begin to close our hearts. When we can review a difficult memory and identify the ways that we were divinely supported during the worst of times, it can begin to understand the unfailing power of love in our lives.

4. How do you choose to cultivate love?

I cultivate love by sharing love and I do that by simply keeping my heart open to the flow of Divine love that runs through me. I’m so grateful for that. So, so grateful.

5. May you share an experience of receiving unconditional love?

How much time do you have? I’ll share this-as I opened to my own intuitive development I felt like I was in a million bits and pieces. There was the personal me, the professional me, the changing me. It was so difficult for me to wrap my head around everything happening at that time. I was afraid to talk about it and, yet, I couldn’t not talk about it.

I nervously sat down with my husband one night to just come out of the woo closet and as I talked, he listened. As I cried, he held me. As I talked about the changes I needed to make in my life he just said, “Go ahead, do what you need to do.” He knew that it wasn’t going to be easy for me to talk woo with everyone in my world, but he never, ever encouraged me to be anything other than myself. He’s amazing like that…definitely an angel in my world.

6. What would you like us to know about love?

I want you to know that you’re never separate from love; that it never stops flowing and that it’s always unconditional-even when you place conditions upon feeling its force in your life.
