 Happy Valentine’s Day!!

Today, I am sharing poems from nayyirah waheed’s book Salt, along with photos from my personal collection.

when you are
here.
everything
is

where
you are.
is not
who
you are.

I lied.
I told you i was not afraid to
love you.
then I walked away.
and
loved you.

i have spent my whole life
alone, loving you.

I don’t pay attention to the
world ending.
it had ended for me
many times
and began again in the morning.

you
see your face.
you
see a flaw.
how. if you are the only one
who has this face.

The Kindle version of salt by nayyirah waheed is free through Sunday Feb 15th.  I downloaded it this past Wednesday, then spent the entire day reading it. It has been *a long time* since I have dedicated a day to reading for pleasure!

Dear Reader: As you feel into the energy in each poem and photo that I chose to share, what arises within? Do you read for pleasure? If so, what is one (or a few) of your favorite books?

Thank you for your presence!

Much peace and abundant love,

Joy
