Opening the Month of February by Pulling One Intuitive Soul Call Card for You, per your request

This post is simply an invitation to open this new month of February by sharing heart-guidance, through pulling one intuitive soul call card for you, per your request in the comment section.

I understand that what I focus on grows and setting intentions directs my attention and awareness toward what I want to grow.

And when I find that something stalls in the growing process or that I feel ‘stuck’, that’s my invitation to connect deeply to source and light-filled energy. Then, if the experience (or I) still feels the same, to do some inner work to expand my understanding and/or clear some inner blocks.

I use intuitive soul call cards in my personal life and in my client work as a tool to provide clarity, and to direct my attention toward specific energy – understanding, cultivating and/or amplifying it (depending on the card).

I love the feel of the cards! I find they are incredibly accurate – even if they don’t seem to make logical sense when I pull them, they always energetically fit and the guidance that flows through them seems ‘spot-on’ to what I (or my client) is asking for clarity on or considering.

If you are reading this and your heart says ‘yes, please’ to receiving in the energy and guidance from one intuitive soul call card, then simply comment “yes, please” by Friday, February 3, 2017 11p (pacific time).

Each person who leaves a comment (by the ‘deadline’ above) will receive their own card. I will post the card and any insights along with it, in a response comment to you. (If you’d like to see an example, I invite you to browse through the comments of the last post I offered this in “Choosing to be Present as You Are, and Allowing Source to Work its Magic“.)

*Please note: I won’t be emailing you directly, I will respond to you via your comment on this post – so you can either subscribe to reply comments or return back to read what I’ve shared for you.

If you like the feel of the cards and the guidance you receive (either from this, or if you’ve previously had a reading with me), you might be interested in a personal intuitive soul call card reading. I offer a 3- or 9- card spread.

Dear Reader: Two things: If you’d like me to pull one intuitive soul call card for you, let me know in the comments below.

And, as you consider the energy of February, what are you excited to be, do, experience, allow as this month unfolds?  I invite you to share your answer in the comments below (because we are each inspired when you share and your voice matters to this conversation!).

So much love to you, Imbolc blessings (if you celebrate) and general blessings as this month unfolds!

Much peace,

Joy

  1. Yes, please, Joy, I would love to have a card pulled! :) Thank you!
This month is one of my usually “just get through it” months because of the snow/teaching problem that occurs every winter when I am trying to teach. I do not have any snow days this year because of an “executive decision” to do something that causes teachers to lose two weeks of their spring schedule this year. We teachers are all gathering together to protest (seems to be the theme of the year ) but it is still unsettling because it cuts a good chunk out of my income and the income of the other teachers. So that is what is going on this month for me, along with doing a lot of painting that I am enjoying, and lots of healing work on the old body :)
Thanks for offering to pull a card, Joy! Love to you! <3

    • Hi Jean,

I love that you are enjoying painting, and your body is healing!!

I am sorry that the administration removed your pay for snow days, and I understand why teachers would protest. Blessings to each of you (including the administration) as this unfolds! <3

When I pull cards and read them, I like to share the physical space to kind of ‘bring it to Earth’ but also because sometimes there is a message in it that speaks to the recipient.

It's currently chilly (for us, here) - around 61F - and the sky is full of dense, heavy rain clouds. I live in an area that has been in severe drought, but it's been raining off and on during the last month, so the rain to me feels refreshing and like it's here to wash away residual 'stuff', and also a reflection of infinite possibility within natural cycles and seasons. Right? Meaning, the drought was here, and we took the measures we were asked to take, and now it's raining - there wasn't anything to 'force' or 'do' or 'manipulate' to bring it on. And the drought wasn't a 'punishment' and the rain isn't a 'reward'. I think there is lots of symbolism in that.

I also chose to treat myself to a peppermint hot chocolate and wait for the rain - kind of like a mini-celebration of 'goodness'. This feels like it speaks to our ability to choose to celebrate the 'little' things in life, and/or simply because we've been gifted this moment. It's with that energy that I am pulling cards this afternoon. It feels fun, delightful, an honor.

Before pulling your card, I smudged myself, the cards and my space with white sage. I have on my table a selenite wand (great for Angel communication), a Septarian stone (improves communication) and a Chrysocolla stone (also about communication – supporting an ability and desire to listen to and speak your heart truth). I also have a gold butterfly decoration on the table (symbolizing fun and joy in transformation).

With that, the card I pulled for you is *fire*.

I personally love this card (but I love the element of fire).

There are many layers to this fire card, so let's look at a few.

The first that pops through, that feels relevant to what you've shared in your comment, is *fierce love* - that fiery passion, that motivates you to teach, to create, to play with creative expression and form. And that same fiery passion that motivates you and the other teachers to protest no pay during snow days.

And what plays into the focused burning of this *fierce love* is attention, intention and boundaries. Right? (Otherwise *everything* would burn and we don't want that). What we focus on grows, and where you place your love is blessed, beyond measure. So, turning that fierce love inward will help 'cauterize' any 'new, fresh, or tender' heart wounds. That feels like a strong invitation to share with you. It's a healing, heart-opening, practice. And turning that fierce love externally, is such a strong, clear vibration that it's kind of like it's own energetic shield - only allowing similar fierce love, in all forms, into your energetic and physical experienced of life.

To keep fire burning, we need to tend to it. This could be an invitation for you to remember to do practices of presence that keep you comfortable and open during this 'get through it month', that keep you inspired and encouraged, that connect you to light and love in ways that feel good to you.

I personally also love Kali energy - she is a Goddess of truth, among other things, and uses 'fire' to burn away untruths. Those nagging doubts and limiting thoughts that you likely have done inner work around but sometimes keep popping back in during the most vulnerable of times (for example, your winter). So, when you hold the fierce love, turned inward, it reminds you of what you feel and know at a cellular level, which then releases those doubts, because you can feel how untrue they are in this moment (not in a judgmental way, but in a discerning way).

And you mentioned winter. Fire plays into that as well, as warm, connecting energy (thinking about people sitting around a fireplace or in our area outdoor fire pit, conversing, laughing, enjoying each other's company). So, this speaks to joy in community, and also cultivating and celebrating the energy of warmth in ways that feel good to you, in your home and in your community. This not only speaks to keeping yourself physically warm, but also your heart-light radiating and sharing that heart-light with others (as you already do, but a question could be, in what way might you be called to share that heart-light in a new form, in new spaces and/or with new to you connections?).

And, fire is a light, yes? We can light a candle, or a torch I suppose, as a way to 'see in the dark' or at least be most comfortable while we 'sit' in the dark. Which could be literal, and could be a metaphor. It might be an invitation to review your faith - to sit with the sparks of love, trust, patience, joy, peace, etc and let them do their work on your heart, and also in the process to naturally amplify them with your presence. Then, to share that 'kindling' with others, to encourage and inspire them on their path (in ways the feel good to you).

With that, I am sure ‘fire’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

I find, if you allow what I’ve presented to settle, as you move through your day, or the next few, some ‘aha’ will happen and this message will speak directly to you and make sense.

If you have any questions, or would like to share any insights or feedback, please do ask and/or share.

Love to you!!! And blessings as your week unfolds!

  2. Yes please. Thank you! :)

Happy February and Imbolc/Imbolg to you, Joy. <3

    • Hi Zania,

It’s so good to ‘see’ you, here!! Thank you for the heart-smile!

Happy February and Imbolc to you, as well :)

When I pull cards and read them, I like to share the physical space to kind of ‘bring it to Earth’ but also because sometimes there is a message in it that speaks to the recipient.

I also have a gold butterfly decoration on the table (symbolizing fun and joy in transformation).

With that, the card I pulled for you is *knot*.

The placement of knot here as we open a new month invites you to feel into the energy of this month and the rest of this season (winter, currently for you, right?) and see if there is any constriction around the natural cycles and seasons in it. Is there something you don’t particularly like about winter or about anything that is collectively celebrated in February or something you, within a culture, personally celebrate in winter or February?

If there is constriction, understanding that brings peace, and within that understanding you have the choice to hold space for the unfolding of the constriction and/or to do inner work with it. If there is no constriction, ask knot what message it has for you.

Also, is there something you have committed to in the near future (like February or winter) that you no longer wish to be present to? That could be a source of tension as well.

The flip side is to be aware of what you commit your time, energy and presence to. Consider what you value, what is important to you, energetically and physically and then whether your daily life allows for you to experience/feel these elements or if something is constricting in that for you. This speaks to boundary work, as well, giving yourself ample space, time and resources to create what your heart asks you to, and connect with what is important to you.

And it might be that people around you, either in your space or in your energetic ‘family or peer group’ hold different values and interests that are important to them. That’s okay – it doesn’t necessarily have to create a barrier, although it can, because boundary work allows you each to focus on your individual paths, then bring that joy and heart-light to your shared connection.

It’s really important to at least be aware of the energy self-compassion and to do your best to turn it inward and love yourself through daily life (and allow yourself to enjoy the unfolding of daily life) instead of judging or criticizing yourself. Even if – especially if – you feel like you don’t fit in or belong in specific settings (there are many settings you will fit in with and belong – as each of us do, and putting yourself in those spaces that feel ‘perfect to you’ will heal older heart wounds and keep your heart open to newness).

I love to look at the positive of things: One aspect of knot that is dear to my heart is that of an ‘anchor’. Right? I don’t knit or crochet but I know the knots hold the piece together. As a sailor, I know the knots in the lines strengthen them so they can hold sails. With that, then, there is an invitation to consider what you are choosing to anchor to, center into, use to root into so your being may experience the feel of thriving.

Of course, if you’re listening to your heart and creating what you are nudged to and connecting with people who support, love and appreciate you, you might begin to choose things that are different from past choices, explore different ways of moving and creating, deepen your current practices and ways that light your heart, connect in different ways or with different people. So much uncertainty. But as long as you keep yourself centered, and you’re committing with love and joy, what you experience will feel fulfilling and fun (not heavy or draining).

One thing I love about knot is that it can be undone. So, if we liken knot to constriction, there is ‘hope’ because we can understand and dissolve the heaviness in the knot, one thread at a time.

With that, I am sure ‘knot’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

      • Hi Joy, thank you very much for the reading! :)

It is winter here currently and I am resistant to winter in general. I really don’t like being cold and I also find it depressing when it rains a lot. So there’s definitely restriction around that. (I just realised you wrote “constriction” but “restriction” could be relevant as well!). Maybe at times I can feel impatient for spring. I’ll read this over again later and share any insights I feel inspired to share. :)

Wishing you a wonderful weekend. <3

P.S. It's actually a sunny day today, with a lovely blue sky and slightly warmer. I'm thinking of it as a reminder that winter can be varied.

        • I know you mean this literally, Zania, but it’s a really great metaphor for you to feel into (and for each of us who read this to learn from). Thank you!!

  3. Yes please! We’re doing lots of packing in preparation for our move. I’m very excited to see our new house (somewhere in CO) and experience life in a new state.

    • Hi Claire,

It’s so good to ‘see’ you, here!! Thank you for the heart-smile!

Blessings on packing (likely releasing as you pack) and your move!!

It’s with that energy that I am pulling cards this afternoon.

With that, the card I pulled for you is *mountain*.

How exciting! Maybe it means ‘look near the mountains’ – or make sure to at least play in the mountains when you get there :)

I know these intuitive soul call cards aren’t literal like that, but it’s a fun idea.

You may know that I love the practice of ‘blessing things’, so what first pops in for me is an invitation for you to ‘bless’ the mountains that faith has already moved with you (for you and/or per your request). To take some time to feel into gratitude, love, joy (whatever energies that flow through as you feel into this). As you bless the mountains that faith has already moved, you’re also blessing (and amplifying) your faith, and any openings from the past movement and bringing that forward to your current experience. I know for me, blessing those mountains lightens my heart and my energy as I prepare to process whatever I need to ‘for the next mountain’.

And mountains equal higher elevation, so I think, too, this is an invitation to center deeply, then scan up and out, (from this higher elevation) taking in the bigger picture, the ‘wholeness’ including, but also beyond, this move (how it fits perfectly into the unfolding of life, and all that has come before it and all that will come after it). I’m not the one moving, but considering this bigger picture feels so much lighter to me and I hope you feel that, too. Maybe this perspective is also meant to remind you that there isn’t a ‘wrong’ move and if a move doesn’t feel great, you have the tools to love yourself through that and choose again. Infinite possibility is real!!

When I think of ‘mountain climbing’, I think of intentional (energetic and physical) preparation, ‘right’ equipment, proper nourishment and ample hydration and perhaps prayer (I’d pray!! *grin* because that’s about the only thing getting me up a physical mountain right now! but I understand this is metaphorical, too). I also think of support, from people I would enjoy spending the time and sharing the experience with. And, during the ‘climb’ taking numerous breaks to rest, appreciate the beauty and view, and to breathe in fresh air, deeply. All of this feels like it applies to your move as well – maybe there is a message that speaks to you in this.

I also understand (from the hiking I’ve done) that sometimes we can plan a route, then when we are actually on the path, there is an obstruction we weren’t planning for (or aware of) or the weather changes or something external happens. We have choices as we assess our next step, including pushing on (insisting upon our way) with potential extra pain and struggle, taking another route with potential for more ease and joy (but uncertainty about how we’ll feel and exactly where we’ll end up), sitting there waiting for another shift or an opening (sometimes unlikely to happen until we take a few next steps). And, it feels like this has a message for your move as well.

Everyone has a different pace, a different way of ‘climbing’ and a different life experience. We can sometimes listen to what is shared and integrate the *resonant* guidance/information into our way (also naturally releasing what doesn’t resonate). We also have the choice to follow our inner guidance and knowing from life experience and place boundaries around the amount of information, and/or from who, we receive in.

As I type, I am reminded of the presence of guides – those who are familiar with the terrain and the specific landscape – and possibly in this case spiritual guides (if you work with them) who can ease our way. They can’t step for us, but they can support our desire to experience a more peaceful, more enjoyable path, that feels good to be on.

You may also know that I really like looking at the positive energies in things, so I’m not focusing on mountain as something ‘impossible to move’ or hard to climb, because one: that doesn’t feel true here, and two: mountain to me is move-able, climb-able, and has everything to do with faith, patience, and joy. To wrap up, I think of people who go to the mountains (from our beach town, it is a treat to visit the mountains we can see in the distance!) for a vacation, for play and refreshment and connection to nature and activities they enjoy, with people they love. That could apply to your move as far as an invitation to choose a place that feels good for you to be in, with a thriving community that you’d like to engage with, and space that delights your senses and beings (as far as a home and also what is around your home).

With that, I am sure ‘mountain’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

  4. Oooh, yes please! :) And thank you!! I look forward to hearing what the cards have to say.

    Happy February!

    Big Love to you <3

    • Hi Jenny,

Well, first, I am listening to music in between pulling cards – kind of like an energetic refresher. The song the popped on as I read your comment and shuffled the cards to pull yours is Gavin DeGraw’s “Everything Will Change”. I happen to love this song. I invite you to check out the lyrics, they might have a message for you.

When I pull cards and read them, I like to share the physical space to kind of ‘bring it to Earth’ but also because sometimes there is a message in it that speaks to the recipient.

It’s currently chilly (for us, here) – around 61F – and the sky is full of dense, heavy rain clouds. I live in an area that has been in severe drought, but it’s been raining off and on during the last month, so the rain to me feels refreshing and like it’s here to wash away residual ‘stuff’, and also a reflection of infinite possibility within natural cycles and seasons. And the drought wasn’t a ‘punishment’ and the rain isn’t a ‘reward’. I think there is lots of symbolism in that.

I also chose to treat myself to a peppermint hot chocolate and wait for the rain – kind of like a mini-celebration of ‘goodness’. This feels like it speaks to our ability to choose to celebrate the ‘little’ things in life, and/or simply because we’ve been gifted this moment. It’s with that energy that I am pulling cards this afternoon.

With that, the card I pulled for you is *jewel*.

To be honest, I pulled this card for myself over the weekend, and I couldn’t interpret it for myself (meaning, I have the skills, but my mind had a block) so I put it back. Ha. So, I like that synchronicity and as I read for you, I have heart-tears because it’s allowing me to open to receive this for me, as well. Thank you for that gift!!

There are a few layers in this card, so let’s look at them.

My first feeling is a reminder that you are precious – your energy and being is beautiful and brings unique and lovely qualities into the experience of the moment while lighting the space you are in. With that, those who experience your presence in all of the ways that you share are blessed to have this experience (of you and engaging with you). While you might feel this at a cellular level, there might be times that your mind has doubt (so polish those thoughts, yes? like we polish jewels) and how might life feel, if this was a heart-truth you engaged with, consistently. That in itself, feels incredibly heart-opening.

      Let’s continue.

When we have something we consider ‘precious’ (a definition of jewel), we take care of it, joyfully because we want to (zero obligation or guilt). We put it in a special container or space, we feel gratitude and love when we think about or hold/wear it, we feel special because it’s a ‘luxury’ to have. We light up when we consider it. So, what if you turned that inward, and truly thought of your being as a jewel, and your inner gifts, skills and talents as jewels – how might the ways you treat yourself change and how might your daily experience shift, open, expand? And, how might the ways in which you speak about your inner being, preferences, delights, and your inner gifts, skills and talents, change, shift, open up?

I personally use jewels (crystals, precious stones) as talismans and also tools for healing. Knowing you, that definition clearly applies. Perhaps this is an invitation, then, to consider your ‘place’ in the world, as a healer, as one who opens lines of connection between people and ‘magic’. And how special people consider ‘jewels’ to be and delighted they are to have them in their space.

When I think of jewel as a precious stone, they tend to cost money – typically a large investment that people are usually delighted to save for, earn money to purchase, because they feel the worth in it. That could apply to your business ventures, but also to your creative expression in all of the forms you share. (and if we all thought ourselves, our creative expressions to be *so valuable*, what a pleasure it might be to share and to receive in that exchange of ‘worth’.)

I think you can also flip this to the perspective of purchasing something that feels like a jewel to you – something precious that your heart desires, that would light your life – as ‘permission’, if you will, to earn money and save and then purchase this, with joy. That it’s ‘okay’ to want whatever this is for you and to allow your self the experience *and* to also thoroughly enjoy the experience.

In the previous comment, I shared with Claire that I enjoy the practice of blessing things. I feel an invitation, here, to bless that which you consider to be jewels, that have been in your life and are currently in your life. To thank yourself for the experience of engaging with those jewels and loving/delighting in them and to remain open to ‘more jewels’, as your life experience unfolds.

It feels like a reminder that ‘jewel’ can be anything we consider precious and that flow is infinite/unlimited so we don’t need to restrict ourselves to one, if we choose to give one away another will be placed if we allow it to be *and* sacrificing ‘our share’ simply removes the energy from our space, it doesn’t give anyone else ‘more’ or contribute anything to another.

I think from a soul call perspective, jewel can be heart energy (that is precious) and heart guidance. The love you are, choose to be and share, connect and create with and celebrate. And the love another is, chooses to be and share, etc. The invitation there is to allow yourself the full experience of ‘being’ the jewel and also ‘receiving the jewels that feel good and fit in your life and are meant for you’.

And, with that, there is a reminder about boundaries. Not everyone respects or cherishes jewels, yes? Some people mistreat them or steal or con around them. A love-based perspective would be to use discernment about who you choose to share with, and what you choose to share and to remember that saying no to non-resonance amplifies resonance in your life (and in world) and directs your energetic flow and connections toward what you want to experience in life.

Another can’t ‘take our radiance’, and we can’t give our radiance to another. But we *can* radiate so brightly that others gravitate toward it, people who appreciate and love that light and support it’s amplification.

The urban dictionary says ‘jewel is a really unique and sweet person’. I like that!!

To wrap up, often precious crystals and stones are ‘hidden’ in layers, and people intentionally look for them – so this feels like a reminder that there is always a ‘jewel’ in an experience, although sometimes it might require a bit of processing to find. (And this might speak to you, if you’ve been feeling guarded lately, or have been ‘hiding’ in some way – only people intentionally looking, will ‘discover’ your energy, until you share it with them.)

As I reviewed this to edit, one last thing popped in: the idea of placing a jewel on a special cushion. This feels like an invitation to consider where you place your physical body and the feel of comfort, to allow the most luxurious feel you possibly can, to gift your being comfort on all levels.

With that, I am sure ‘jewel’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

      • Wow! Thank you so much, Joy. What a beautiful, full message. It really touched my heart, and I will be coming back to it regularly to read into all the layers and messages of love.

It brought up tears and joy all intermingled. I love the message about the drought, too, and thought along with that of the process of forming a diamond, which also goes through some pressure. It’s neither a punishment nor a reward, it is simply the process of becoming more of who you are. So perfect.

Thank you again. You are a blessing (and a jewel!).

        Big Love,
        Jenny

    • Hi Samantha,

It’s my pleasure to pull a card for you!

Right? Meaning, the drought was here, and we took the measures we were asked to take, and now it’s raining – there wasn’t anything to ‘force’ or ‘do’ or ‘manipulate’ to bring it on.

With that, the card I pulled for you is *thread*.

This is one of my favorite cards – mainly because I love looking at how individual energetic threads, along with physical variables and elements, weave together to create a life experience (a specific experience and the experience as a whole). This could be an invitation to consider more than what is ‘obvious to you’, beyond what logic can tell you and your senses can take in – whether in something that feels constrictive, or in something you wish to expand, grow or manifest in.

Whether you wish to release constriction or amplify expansion, you ‘need’ only focus on one thread at a time – which I am hoping feels relieving to you. This means that rather than release or grow ‘tons’ at a time, which can feel overwhelming and become a barrier to even wanting to be present, you can be present with/to, one individual thread and that attention will shift something in your experience. In that shift, more clarity will naturally arise, which will then support your intention as it unfolds, and which you can use to examine your next thread (if you wish).

Whenever I would like more clarity, I examine the threads weaving together. This grows my understanding, and in that understanding there is peace and also empowerment.

We may also consider ‘thread’ as a verb – which speaks to empowerment. We have the ability to choose the threads we wish and to move them in specific ways/through specific tools, to create a desired outcome, weave together in ways that feel good to be present to, and in. I invite you to consider what energetic threads resonate most with you, that are supportive of how you want to feel in life and how you want life to feel and work with them, consistently, and become familiar with them.

I also understand a thread that is picked at, or not woven in strongly, can become frayed. The ‘good news’ (because I like to focus on that) is that we can notice this fraying and fix it. We can cut frayed pieces away and/or fortify what remains with stronger thread. If we liken thread to ‘thoughts’ this practice could be refreshing and also a way of cultivating possibility.

And if we are not skilled with thread ‘fixing’ (I don’t sew, and I hire it out, but we can liken this to thoughts as well), there are people who are trained, who can offer support and guidance.

It might be that you are a weaver of threads (someone who literally sews or knits or a writer or storyteller through creative expression) and this might be a reminder of how important that skill is. It might be that you know a weaver of threads and this could be an invitation to appreciate them *that much more* for the ‘goodness’ they add to your life.

I shared this in a previous comment, to Zania, regarding the energy of knot, which applies here because a knot is a bunch of threads woven together: One aspect of knot that is dear to my heart is that of an ‘anchor’. Right? I don’t knit or crochet but I know the knots hold the piece together. As a sailor, I know the knots in the lines strengthen them so they can hold sails. With that, then, there is an invitation to consider what you are choosing to anchor to, center into, use to root into so your being may experience the feel of thriving.

With that, let’s feel into entanglement. Sometimes, threads are intentionally woven together and that creates what we wish and feels good. Sometimes, threads are crossed (internally or externally) and we don’t notice until we don’t like the feel. This might be an invitation to look at what, or who, you may be entangled with and how that feels for you.

So what you are committed to, and with, and with whom you are committed, and if those entanglements feel life-enriching or life-draining. This noticing is not a judgment, in that you are not declaring ‘this is right or wrong’, it’s for understanding as to how you feel and how life feels with these entanglements in it. Of course, you can use this information to make decisions towards dissolving pain and/or amplifying love, and ‘goodness’.

Entanglements also tend to happen when a person is an empath and this is why people sometimes don’t feel being an empath as a gift. To lessen the discomfort or pain, a bit (or altogether), center deeply, breathe in fresh air, and then look at what threads in an experience are ‘yours’, and gently, energetically release threads that are not yours. This doesn’t mean you are ‘letting a person go’, it simply means you are cleaning and ‘claiming’ your path. And, as you release entanglements, you are in a way, surrendering, releasing ‘control’ of what isn’t yours to control and allowing Universe to work its magic.

With that, I am sure ‘thread’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

I find, if you allow what I’ve presented to settle, as you move through your day, or the next few, some ‘aha’ will happen and this message will speak directly to you and make sense.

If you have any questions, or would like to share any insights or feedback, please do ask and/or share.

Love and blessings as your week unfolds!

Yes please Joy… I’m lost and need a sign from the Universe ???

    • Hi Ivy,

My heart guidance, if ever one is feeling lost, is to connect to something source-energy filled and do something that lights your heart.

When I pull cards and read them, I like to share the physical space to kind of ‘bring it to Earth’ but also because sometimes there is a message in it that speaks to the recipient.

It’s now night-time, and because it’s about to rain, the heavy clouds obscure the beautiful crescent moon and Venus, which have been looking lovely lately. Just because I can’t see them, doesn’t mean they ‘aren’t there’ *and* having seen them yesterday I can easily recall the beauty and magical feel and know that energy is still accessible to me. I know that speaks to faith and blessings/miracles/perfectly placed openings.

I also live in an area that has been in severe drought, but it’s been raining off and on during the last month, so the rain to me feels refreshing and like it’s here to wash away residual ‘stuff’, and also a reflection of infinite possibility within natural cycles and seasons. Right? Meaning, the drought was here, and we took the measures we were asked to take, and now it’s raining – there wasn’t anything to ‘force’ or ‘do’ or ‘manipulate’ to bring it on. And the drought wasn’t a ‘punishment’ and the rain isn’t a ‘reward’. I think there is lots of symbolism in that.

I also chose to treat myself earlier, when I first began pulling cards, to a peppermint hot chocolate and wait for the rain – kind of like a mini-celebration of ‘goodness’. This feels like it speaks to our ability to choose to celebrate the ‘little’ things in life, and/or simply because we’ve been gifted this moment. It’s with that energy that I am pulling cards this evening. It feels fun, delightful, an honor.

Before pulling your card, I smudged myself, the cards and my space with white sage. I also have a gold butterfly decoration on the table (symbolizing fun and joy in transformation).

With that, the card I pulled for you is *grace*.

Without knowing what you’re in, I think it’s a perfect card! And, the energy of grace is one of my favorites – I spent years learning to understand, embody and be it (only to find that there isn’t anything to ‘do’, really, except open to it. Ha. And I’m sure we can apply that to any area or experience of life).

When I feel into the message grace might have for you, it’s this, regarding movement (literally and metaphorically): an invitation to remember to give yourself ample space, time and resources to grow; to allow your movement through life to be fluid, easy, joyful, smooth, gentle. I’m not suggesting that you change your inherent way of being, I’m suggesting that you *embrace it* and allow it to guide you.

Really feel into that invitation. We aren’t meant to struggle, life isn’t meant to be ‘hard’. And if there is repeated struggle or pain, that’s a clear opening for grace to flow into.

Of course, the other strong feeling I get when considering grace as it might apply to your current life is an invitation to ‘dip’ your entire being into love, gratitude and compassion – center so deeply into those energies, breathe them in, notice them as you move through your day, and turn them inward, consistently. Allow yourself to feel the power of love – genuine, pure, strong, fierce, divine dna sort of love – and run that energy through your entire being as a cleansing ‘agent’ and as a heart-healing agent. Be gentle and kind with yourself, especially with thoughts around self-judgment and/or self-expectation (of course, down the road you can turn that outward, but this invitation is about *you* and turning it all inward).

It feels like maybe you have some inner constriction or pain around thinking you made some wrong steps, or ‘mistakes’ and you might be holding yourself away from, or apart from, abundance in all realms, and/or ease and genuine joy and peace, in your body and in your life, as a result of these thoughts. This is where grace is asking to be invited in. And you know, grace doesn’t ask for anything other than to be invited in; then it can work its ‘magic’.

If you read my Facebook posts, over the weekend, I bought myself lilies. They symbolize grace and I love that and I wanted it in my home (because it’s needed, here, as a physical reminder for when I energetically ‘forget’). Grace says “I forgive you, I love you, let’s do this, open-hearted, moving forward, embracing of life, again”. I invite you to feel the potential for healing in that and invite grace in, to your home, your heart and also the spaces you think it’s impossible to feel flow, joy, peace in again/or ever. Allow grace to surprise you, see what it can do for you.

With that, grace is a new beginning. What tends to ‘shadow’ those new beginnings are thoughts of previous ‘new beginnings’ – whether they ‘worked’ or ‘didn’t’. It feels like you might be considering new paths, which is awesome and excellent. May you allow yourself to experience this newness without considering the past and how it did/didn’t work – may you give yourself a ‘clean slate’. And if your mind says ‘why’ or objects, perhaps consider because you are worthy and deserving and you’ve done enough ‘penance’ for whatever ‘wrong’ you think you’ve done in the past.

I’ve mentioned in previous comments that I enjoy the practice of blessing things. Grace can be a blessing (right, many people say ‘grace’ before eating a meal). This is an invitation to bless your being and your life – all of it, without excluding any of it. Bless what feels ‘good and right’, bless what feels ‘painful and less than lovely’, bless what you ‘know’, bless what you don’t know, ask to be shown the blessings, allow yourself (your presence, talents and gifts) to be a blessing.

And, when it feels right, consider extending this grace to another – one with whom you may have felt constriction with in the past or are feeling constriction with now. At base, ‘right and wrong’ are judgments – thoughts based on our perception at the time – and holding those become a barrier to flow. So, we are harming ourselves – not the person we can’t or won’t forgive or wrap in love – and grace is one way to expand beyond that pain (all love-based energies have the same affect, but grace is usually easier to begin with).

Your reading isn’t as physically ‘long’ as the previous ones, but what was reflected is really powerful stuff. And working with just one paragraph of guidance has potential to heal, and open, your heart, to experience peace and possibility.

As I review this to edit, I am nudged to include this: you may call grace in at any time, to any space, in ways that feel good to you – sometimes when it feels incredibly far away or difficult, I ask grace to appear in physical ways that I can see and experience, and it does. Perhaps you might wish to try that. Again, though, this most essential part of grace is that in order to experience it, in any form, we need to open to it (or center into it).

With that, I am sure ‘grace’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

I find, if you allow what I’ve presented to settle, as you move through your day, or the next few, some ‘aha’ will happen and this message will speak directly to you and make sense.

If you have any questions, or would like to share any insights or feedback, please do ask and/or share.

I hope you find your way, Ivy – I love you!! Blessings as your week unfolds!

I also have a gold butterfly decoration on the table (symbolizing fun and joy in transformation).

With that, the card I pulled for you is *silence*.

What I’d like for you to know is that I typically look for the ‘goodness’ in things *and* since I don’t know what you are currently experiencing in life, I can’t custom this directly to you. This matters, because it might be that this card has literal meaning for you to ‘be silent’ or it’s an invitation to open beyond your silence. Of course, you will pick up on that right away.

I think we’ve all experienced being silenced out of fear/a power play. And we know how that feels. And, we know the invitation is to heal our heart wounds from those experiences, and to use our voice in ways that honor our heart wisdom and guidance and personal preferences of sharing. If you feel this invitation speaks to you, please do open to processing it.

Let’s look at silence, beyond that.

Silent is ‘without sound’. When we are in this energy, we can *listen*, attune to and with, energy, through our senses and also beyond what we can logically think out and process, and receive in via our senses. This could be an invitation to center deeply and touch base with your intuitive knowing, heart whispers, life experience wisdom, inner knowing. To make time and ample space to be present to this practice, daily, and consistently. And, to remember that you don’t ‘have’ to share these things with anyone (although you may – and you may find joy in that), that these treasures, these gifts are simply for you, to connect with and celebrate.

And if creative expression flows, it doesn’t have to be spoken (or written) it can be danced out, painted, hummed, felt and energetically run through your body and being, smiled, cried, etc. Again, this can be your process, for you, it doesn’t ‘have’ to be shared (although you may share it).

When I think of silence, I think of reverence, grace, love, joy, peace, beauty. I naturally wake in the pre-dawn hours, in the stillness before the ‘world wakes’ and I love that time, because it is so quiet. I feel connected to source and creative expression flows (especially in spaces I was previously stuck in, via overthinking the process and not ‘allowing for’). It’s a treasure, a gift of time and presence and I appreciate that immensely. It might not be that you share my love of pre-dawn connection, but I am sure you can feel into this and a ‘perfect for you’ time and place will arise and ask for your attention and presence.

The other aspect of silence and ‘no noise’ has to do with what you choose to receive in. Gifting yourself ‘silence’ – space without external information pumping through, perhaps muddying up your clarity or distracting you from creating what your heart wishes to, or casting doubt in spaces you trusted. This may be an invitation to gift yourself external-noise free experiences. And when you notice silence, to revel in it, instead of fill it, to feel into it and refresh your energy with it.

When we are in silence, it can feel familiar, comfortable and safe. It can also feel uncomfortable and/or we may feel vulnerable as thoughts or desires pop into our realm of being that we tend to push down or hide. This may be an invitation, then, to do some inner work – to center deeply, and hold space for thoughts, desires, feelings, to flow through and to process them if you wish, or allow them to unfold on their own, if you wish.

Silence could also be an invitation to be aware of any doubts, fears or patterning that contribute to lessening your desire to share your voice (in the myriad of ways its asks to be shared) with those in your space and with world. Or that lessens your desire to create or dampers your joy while creating. With this awareness, you can ‘silence’ the voices (of judgment or criticism) that might pop in when you think of creating, sharing, expressing yourself – whether that voice is your own inner critic or coming from someplace external.

It could also be an invitation to take a moment to center, to breathe in, to listen to what is being expressed (whether verbally, through body language or energetically) before jumping into a conversation – to not say the first thoughts that pop into your mind, but to take some time to access what is in your heart, and to share that lovingly.

And it might be that this is a reminder that just because someone is present doesn’t mean that we ‘have to’ speak – we can sit comfortably, sharing space, without filling it with words (just to fill it). And if you notice someone filling space with words, you can ask for silence, lovingly and share with them the gifts in it.

And, if a loved one is silent, or has silenced their heart whispers, desires, dreams, to honor that and hold space for unfolding, instead of attempting to push them to do something they aren’t feeling ready for. To ‘teach’ through example, through the living of infinite possibility in your life.

With that, I am sure ‘silence’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

I find, if you allow what I’ve presented to settle, as you move through your day, or the next few, some ‘aha’ will happen and this message will speak directly to you and make sense.

If you have any questions, or would like to share any insights or feedback, please do ask and/or share.

I also have a gold butterfly decoration on the table (symbolizing fun and joy in transformation).

With that, the card I pulled for you is *tangle*.

When I see ‘tangle’, it feels like a reminder not to allow your trust in love to get tangled up in other’s stuff and/or past wounds that currently feel tender. Right? Our thoughts about love can all tangled up when we listen to too much outside advice (especially unsolicited) or we receive in too much external energy that isn’t resonant. And we can feel vulnerable and begin to doubt our inner knowing, when past wounds are triggered and that pain comes forward.

And the most powerful heart guidance I have around ‘tangle’ is the reminder that love can untangle even the most tightly wound knot/story. I’d love for that to be your takeaway.

What causes us to feel tangled? I feel when our attention is directed away from practices that connect us to source and light energy, that center and ground our energy and open our heart, that remind us of what the heart guidance we hold to be true. Also, when we are involved in ‘too many different’ activities, ‘too busy’, and instead of being mindful with our presence and careful with our energy, we energetically leave pieces of our ‘self’ in different spaces as we move through the day, so we end up feeling disconnected, instead of fulfilled. And/or we take in too much of other people’s energy, and attempt to take accountability or control over the unfolding of a path that isn’t ours.

The invitation is to remember the importance of practices of presence and to make ample time and space to do them. And to be mindful of ‘what is yours’ and what is not, as you move through your day. Which speaks to boundary work, along with presence.

I think this is an interesting card because two cards I’ve pulled and shared about in previous comments, play into the energy of yours: knot and thread.

Here is the part in thread that applies to your card:

Here is the part in knot that applies to your card:

One thing I love about knot is that it can be undone. So, if we liken knot to constriction, there is ‘hope’ because we can understand and dissolve the heaviness in the knot, one thread at a time.

      And:

…..feel into the energy of this month and the rest of this season (winter, currently for you, right?) and see if there is any constriction around the natural cycles and seasons in it.

With that, I am sure ‘tangle’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

I find, if you allow what I’ve presented to settle, as you move through your day, or the next few, some ‘aha’ will happen and this message will speak directly to you and make sense.

If you have any questions, or would like to share any insights or feedback, please do ask and/or share.

With that, the card I pulled for you is *trickster*.

What an interesting card! Let’s look at the energy in it:

When I think of trickster energy, I think of the cirque performers from my son’s troupe. They are ‘tricking us’ into joy and delight – regardless of how we felt when we sat down to the performance or what we will be returning to when we leave and how when my heart is happy everything seems lighter and easier. (Are you possibly thinking of performing in some way? This card would be placed to encourage that!)

In the archetype of trickster, it’s thought that it’s essential to get close to sacredness – for example each court had a jester in it, because it was believed laughter was the best medicine and through that laughter one could literally get close to (be included at the table of) royalty. So, there might be a message in that for you.

An underlying energy in the above meanings is a reminder to play at an open-hearted, joyful level. And that play is one powerful, heartening way to grow your sacred connection easily and gently (for your body and being).

Trickster energy, in general, tends to be around feeling doubt about what you know, your life experience and heart guidance/intuitive knowing. They are thoughts, yes? and when they are present, that is an invitation to be tender, compassionate and loving with yourself and make time to center into your root practices along with those that connect you to source energy and light (internally and externally). if trickster energy is ‘shadowy’, light is ‘perfect medicine’.

Typically, ‘trickster’ tends to show up as doubting ‘worthiness’ and/or ‘the presence of blessings, infinite possibility’. Again, this is an invitation to center deeply, do something that lights your heart and refreshes your energy. And, I would add, rest deeply. When we are well-rested, our ‘reactive mode’ is lessened and we are most able to be calm, centered and open.

When trickster energy is present in my life, I do some inner work to center then refresh my energy, to cut cords (in general) and to amplify trust (in flow, source, my inner knowing). Later, when I am centered, refreshed and open, I look at what internally might have drawn this energy to me – and it’s typically a place where I’m attempting to talk myself into compromising a boundary or being present to something that feels heavy or not aligned, as an obligation to another. There might be a message in that for you as well.

You may know I enjoy working with animal medicine/energy. Crow and coyote are two known ‘tricksters’. When they are present, that is a sign to create and honor clear and strong boundaries (with your time, energy, emotion and presence) and to center deeply, so that you can feel and follow through on what is resonant (and non-resonant). It’s okay to say ‘no, thank you’ to non-resonance when it shows up (even if it’s gifted) and it’s okay to not explain your reasoning, beyond ‘no, thank you’.

This card is a very specific one – so I’m sure it’s present here, to you, for a reason that you are clearly aware of and that this card speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area. I can’t add any more to this general guidance.

I find, if you allow what I’ve presented to settle, as you move through your day, or the next few, some ‘aha’ will happen and this message will speak directly to you and make sense.

If you have any questions, or would like to share any insights or feedback, please do ask and/or share.

Love to you and blessings as your week unfolds!

      • Thank you Joy. Oh yes I may have met the trickster before I read this this morning. I did speak my truth and I love that I was able to say no with little explanation. I feel uplifted this morning ??

    • Hi Donna,

Thank you for your kind words about my Monday *Magic* letter! It lights my heart that what I share resonates well with you and hopefully as you practice presence, you are feeling more peace and possibility as ‘real’ in your life and as blessings.

When I pull cards and read them, I like to share the physical space to kind of ‘bring it to Earth’ but also because sometimes there is a message in it that speaks to the recipient.

It’s now pre-dawn – one of my favorite times of the day because it’s quiet and still and the ‘world’ around me is sleeping. I have read these hours are ‘sacred hours’, and I like the feel of that. (I tend to naturally wake at this time – it’s nothing I plan!).

It’s been raining all night and the heavy clouds are still obscuring the beautiful crescent moon and Venus, which have been looking lovely lately.

I am treating myself with some breath work (that I love) and being comfortable tucked into warm blankets in a cozy space as I pull cards and share heart guidance. This feels like it speaks to our ability to choose comfort and joy and to celebrate the ‘little’ things in life, and/or simply because we’ve been gifted this moment. It’s with that energy that I am pulling cards this morning.

With that, the card I pulled for you is *child*.

The soul call cards aren’t literal, but it could mean there is a little one, desiring your attention and presence.

What it usually means is that your inner child is asking for your attention and presence and you will know in exactly *what way* by desires or longings you are having, usually around the energies of delight and play.

However, let’s first understand this about children: they thrive when their base needs are met. Base needs like: foods with nutrients, physical movement (and space to move in) that’s fun to them, plenty of water to drink, ample deep rest and frequent resting periods, loving support in word and presence, appreciation and ‘reward’ for being special and unique, lots of resources to play with and explore. So, this could be an invitation for you to remember the importance of meeting your base needs. And if you’re tired (physically or energetically) or feeling stuck, the source of that could be a base need that’s been ignored (as simple as sleep, or play time).

Children have great innate boundaries and are excellent at expressing their preferences (both of which work well together). If they prefer a certain way of learning, or are deep in play or thought or are enjoying what they are doing, they keep on going with it, until they are ‘maxed out’. Then, they stop and either refresh or move on to the next activity/space. They also don’t talk themselves into enjoying something they don’t like – right? If something doesn’t resonate with them, they move to what does resonate. And their trust (of unfolding, world, others) is also innate – until the moment they learn not to trust something, then they don’t (again, they don’t talk themselves into trusting something, it’s a natural process for them). There are many different invitations in this aspect and if something speaks right to your heart, that’s your current ‘clue’ to explore it. (Each time you read, something else might speak to your heart, that’s natural, and speaks to listening to your inner knowing and honoring your current preferences).

We, in general in society, do our best to keep children safe and comfortable. This could be a reminder that your inner child thrives within these energies (which again speaks to listening to your inner knowing and innate trust). Comfortable could be physically as well – plush linens, clothes you enjoy, people who are supportive, spaces that are inspiring, etc.

Children learn through play. To them, learning is fun. (which is a great reminder for us all!) Play is not planned – as in we will do this, then this – everything to them is play, it’s the way they approach life. So, a question you might ask is ‘how might I allow this to be fun’? or ‘how might I play with this’? (I love the energy of play and weave it into my entire day – besides keeping my heart open and my energy light, it’s a great manifesting energy!!) By “play with this” I mean invite your imagination, and flow and joy/delight into whatever it is you are present to. (For me, I play with my food – new recipes, plating it; clothing – color, style, specific mood amplifiers; physical movement – dance, stretch, run; energies of people – light-filled, like if they are doing something fun, I tap into that with, or through, them; creative expressions – different tools and techniques and sharing in different ways; spaces – feeling into the energy and asking what I’m meant to experience, learn; angels – inviting them to show support in physical ways, etc.). As you feel into this, it’s likely specific invitations to play are arising – and different ones will arise. May you allow yourself the joy of following through with them.

There is an expression ‘all work and no play’ – and I say to that, your work can be play (yes, even in the most serious of jobs) and your play can be your work. Feeling joy is heart-opening, and invites ‘more’ blessings, abundance, fullness of connection, feelings of fulfillment, peace in your body and life, to come flowing in.

Another aspect of children is their innocence, yes? This could be an invitation to consider something minus the layers of your life experience, from the space of pure love and joy. To tune into your intuitive knowing and follow those nudges. To release judgment and/or expectation in a space that might be feeling constrictive (especially if you’re turning it inward and causing inner blocks). To ‘wipe the slate clean’ and feel into ‘beginners mind’. My son is in aerial troupe and I just read an article from a famous performer who said once a week he has his current performers practice the basics – even though they are far advanced and beyond that at skill level. I love the idea so much and am going to apply it to many areas of life. Maybe this holds a message for you?

And, children love community (that feels good to them). They love engaging with others, who light their heart, and exploring together and sharing (in general). Which could be an invitation to you. Of course, sometimes they don’t love sharing – the thing or food item or person that is incredibly special to them, and that’s okay, it’s okay to want to keep certain things for yourself and to enjoy them solo. Perhaps that has an invitation for you as well.

I find this is a wonderful card to open this new day with – it feels full of hope, freedom, joy, ease, love. I hope you feel some of that as you consider the energy in this card.

With that, I am sure ‘child’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

I also have a gold butterfly decoration on the table (symbolizing fun and joy in transformation).

With that, the card I pulled for you is *silence*.

This is interesting to me because the deck has many cards and I don’t usually pull ‘doubles’. I pulled this silence card yesterday for Denise and I will copy and paste that, here, for you.

But, first, the feel for you is different and that’s what feels interesting to me.

Perhaps you are in a disagreement, or you are feeling stuck somewhere, and this is an invitation to ‘honor silence’ – meaning to listen, to the words being expressed and also the body language and energy, which often communicate far louder than words. It might be that on surface something is being said, but it’s really the energy that isn’t being obviously expressed that has meaning for you. And if you tune into what is beyond the surface, your ‘answer’ is clearly there.

And it feels like it’s also an invitation to gift yourself spaces of silence – where minimal or zero external information is coming in, so you can center and breathe deeply – a big exhale, like you’ve been holding your breath? – and tune into your inner knowing. And trust that inner knowing, without doubts created by external stuff. It feels like someone who respect greatly might be holding a different opinion than you, on something that matters to you – or choosing a different way. Temporarily (respectfully, and thoughtfully, yes?)’silence’ their input, in your heart, soul and being, and tune into what your wisdom and guidance has for you.

And it might be that you fear silence – so this is an invitation to feel into that fear, not necessarily the seed, simply it’s presence and to love yourself through it so much so that you open to silence. (Like maybe what you fear is the ‘guidance’ and inner knowing you will find in silence, because maybe that knowing will lead to change/uncertainty – but surely there are blessings of peace and resonance in this for you, and if you feel into those blessings, they will guide you, step by step.)

As I read this to edit it, another feeling that pops through for you is this: an act of courage is to speak your preferences aloud, to those who love you, so that when they express love it’s in ways you can easily relate to/with, and open to receive in and celebrate. But, if we remain silent, it could be that people don’t know our preferences and we might feel mis-understood or as if we don’t belong, because we can’t relate to their expressions (do you see what I mean?). Within this is an invitation to allow people to know you and appreciate you, and love you in ways your heart desires to experience. And perhaps you’ve been remaining silent because you don’t want to appear (what? selfish or picky or whatever label judgment applies – just remember, that’s inner judgment creating a barrier to fullness of connection).

Just as you want your children to specifically tell you what they enjoy and ‘are into’ currently, so you can relate to them and love on them in ways they appreciate and like, so to those in our lives who love us, wish the same from us. In this case, silence creates a barrier (and that silence is learned, so we can ‘un-learn’ it).

So, that is all far different from what I was guided to share for the silence card, yesterday. I am sure something in that speaks to you.

Let’s look at the guidance from yesterday that might offer more clarity to you, in your reading (of course, you may also go to hers, to see the parts I didn’t refer to here):

When I think of silence, I think of reverence, grace, love, joy, peace, beauty. I naturally wake in the pre-dawn hours (as I did today), in the stillness before the ‘world wakes’ and I love that time, because it is so quiet.

Love to you and blessings as your week unfolds!

    • Hi Fernanda,

This feels like it speaks to our ability to choose comfort and joy and to celebrate the ‘little’ things in life, and/or simply because we’ve been gifted this moment. It’s with that energy that I am pulling cards this morning.

First, I am listening to music between pulling cards, as a ‘refresher’. Usually pop music type stuff. The song that just came on is Snatam Kaur “RaMaDaSa” – the ‘love vibration’. I love the synchronicity (I remember you enjoy her music as well) and the ‘love vibration’ part feels perfect for you. It also feels incredibly gentle, sacred, beautiful, which might be a reminder to allow love to feel like this as it flows through your heart, body and life in the myriad of forms it takes.

It might also be a reminder that you may be focusing on one form of love, so to ‘scan out’ and notice, appreciate, celebrate, breathe in, *all of the ways* love is present in your life, and how you feel knowing love is ever-present and flowing through. Perhaps that is calming, heart-opening, faith-amplifying? It feels so to me as I share this with you (and I love this reminder! As it applies in my life, I’ve been feeling love is stuck in a specific area in my family, typing this to you I can feel love ever-flowing in so many other areas – it’s inspiring and encouraging! I hope you feel that, too!).

With that, the card I pulled for you is *release*.

We can follow through with the ‘flow of love’ I just mentioned and with that, feel an invitation to release thoughts that aren’t supporting the growth of love or your noticing love, in specific areas of your life. How do you release those thoughts? By engaging your mind in noticing and celebrating where love *is* fully present and how you feel as you are present with it. By noticing where love has grown and celebrating that, fully. So you’re not saying “I release this thought”, you are, instead, thinking other thoughts that are genuine and true for you.

Along with that, is an invitation to release self-judgment and/or self-criticism, in much the same way. If you notice you are being harsh with your words toward, or about, yourself, simply center and say something encouraging, love-based, kind. With this practice, you also release energy that isn’t love-based (simply by being love, so the process is gentle and easy).

“Release” also could be an invitation to physically clean spaces that might be cluttered, especially spaces where you are present to creative expression – maybe you hadn’t created in specific areas that you love in a while? Maybe this is an invitation to make a candle-light dinner for yourself, or go dancing or do something you enjoy that you hadn’t in a while? And, maybe, in general, this is about releasing any layers that have built up around joy – feels like surface layers, that can simply be ‘swept away’, easily, as you choose to play, breathe in light, do a practice of presence that connects you to source. I am sure you can feel the specific invitation to you in this.

I want to be clear, this invitation to ‘release’ feels easy, gentle. It’s not a ‘deep-clean’ or intense inner process, it’s a light dusting off of thoughts and a return to your base of love (in your heart, your home, your work, your hobbies, your life). A refreshing, joyful letting go of light layers as you celebrate the ‘goodness’ you’ve called in, enjoy that goodness.

Also, there is an invitation to release specifics around timing of something – to remember the ‘perfect timing’ of unfolding and that just because something isn’t placed when we wish it to be or want it to be, doesn’t mean we’ve done something ‘wrong’ or are being ‘punished’, it’s more about honoring the unfolding of it and trusting the flow, without forcing or insisting (and again while celebrating the goodness we are in, and experiencing).

And, there is a message of reassurance that we aren’t ever asked to ‘release that which we love’. So, you may relax and enjoy all that you love and experience fullness of connection with it.

With that, I am sure ‘release’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

  13. Yes, please.
Sending love and light. Your peppermint hot cocoa smells yummy all way here.

    • Hi Eydie,

I do believe and practice that, in general, the energy of things draws like-energy into our realm. So, if my peppermint hot chocolate draws in people who love warmth and treating themselves kindly and well that would be a great ‘bonus’. It seems to have drawn you in *grin* I know it was the soul call card offer, and it’s good to ‘see’ you, here.

I also have a gold butterfly decoration on the table (symbolizing fun and joy in transformation).

With that, the card I pulled for you is *teacher*.

My first feeling is an invitation to remember that everything has information in it that can support the expansion of our understanding and/or our healing and growth; in that, everything can be ‘our teacher’. And, along with that, I personally affirm ‘learning is fun, a delight to experience’ (because many people hold the idea that learning is hard/a struggle and creating and living this affirmation has changed the feel of learning for me).

With, though, is the idea of boundary work and discernment. Not everything *is meant* to be our teacher, although with awareness we can allow it to be so. Right? If we only ever look externally to what others share and what signs we see, we will miss the richness of our inner guidance and heart wisdom. What others share and what signs we see can absolutely be tools of learning, and feel great to experience, but this is an invitation to remember the wisdom in your intuitive knowing, your heart guidance.

Sometimes, we can get caught up in the varying messages coming in, from external sources and that excess of information can feel overwhelming and also create doubt in our own inner knowing, skills, experience, etc.

Along with that, especially when it comes to inner work (and because I’m an energy facilitator, this comes up a lot) I like to remind people that when choosing external guides, teachers, mentors, to feel into resonance and alignment with their current energy and message. If it feels right for you, then absolutely trust the unfolding. If it feels ‘wrong’ for you, please don’t talk yourself into engaging or participating (like sometimes happens when we feel pressured or doubt our inner knowing). Perhaps there is a message in this for you, since I was prompted to include it.

I’ve written in a few comments, here, about my love of the practice of blessings things. Perhaps this is an invitation for you to bless all of the teachers you have had in the past (without judging if they were ‘good or bad’ or if their teaching method suited you’) and all of that in world which you learn from now and will learn from in the future. In this ‘blessing’ – sharing love and gratitude in ways that feel good to you – as simple as a few thoughts or words, is innate forgiveness and grace. Forgiveness for anyone whose method didn’t sit well with you or caused pain or struggle and/or forgiveness for yourself for any moments you resisted and/or their job was ‘harder’ and grace flows along with the practice, healing tenderness. (Not that you are thinking “I forgive you” – just that these energies flow through in your blessings of love and gratitude).

Of course, teacher can absolutely be an invitation to consider that others learn from your experience, when you share. Whether your motivation in sharing is to formally teach, or simply to share what you are currently in and how you are moving through it, people can learn. There are many people who will appreciate what you have to share, and your ways of sharing – and allowing yourself that experience can amplify joy in sharing (even vulnerable stuff) and ease any doubt you may feel about sharing. (This is meant as an invitation, only, not as a ‘firm’, please teach – simply a reminder that your life experience and your inner knowing is valuable and when you share it in ways that feel good to you, others appreciate and can learn from what you share).

There is also a ‘saying’ that we teach what we most need to learn. Maybe this has a message in it for you. To me, it speaks to flow. That we can receive in information that inspires and encourages us to remain open to learning (healing and growing) and we can also share our experience and heart wisdom with others as we continue learning.

With that, I am sure ‘teacher’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

    • Hi Valerie,

When I pull cards and read them, I like to share the physical space to kind of ‘bring it to Earth’ but also because sometimes there is a message in it that speaks to the recipient.

It’s now just after ‘sunrise’ – in parenthesis because the rain clouds are heavy and dark and sun isn’t physically shining down through them. Just because I can’t see the sun and feel it’s radiant warmth, doesn’t mean it ‘isn’t there’ *and* having seen it previously many many days in my life, I can easily recall the beauty and magical feel and know that energy is still accessible to me. I know that speaks to faith and trust, and blessings/miracles/perfectly placed openings.

I am treating myself with some breath work (that I love) and I’ve opened the windows to let fresh air circulate through (even though it’s a bit chilly) and so I can listen to the rain (I love the sound!) as I pull cards and share heart guidance. This feels like it speaks to our ability to listen to our heart’s preferences (even if they don’t seem logical) as we gift ourselves the experience of delight, joy, peace as we celebrate the ‘little’ things in life, and/or simply because we’ve been gifted this moment. It’s with that energy that I am pulling cards this morning.

With that, the card I pulled for you is *open*.

It’s interesting because I’m all about heart energy, and my first feeling about this card, for you, is about ‘opening new doors’ (not necessarily opening your energy or vibrational field, although, of course, that is part of ‘opening doors’).

It feels to me as if an invitation with this energy is around the idea that you might be considering that in order to ‘open new doors’ (to new or different experiences, with new connections, to new ways of creating or sharing those creative expressions) you must first ‘do something’ or a series of somethings and this is saying ‘open the door, with love, joy, delight’ now, as you are, as the moment is (with whatever is in the moment). It’s okay, it’s blessed, it’s good. And in opening that door (or doors), the inner work (or outer work) your mind says ‘must happen first’ is naturally completed as part of this process.

Which also speaks to the idea of time and the reminder that it’s not ‘linear’ per se and that inner work and experiencing fullness of life isn’t linear (meaning we don’t have to step A to B to C and that the unfolding of life doesn’t work as logically as that. (That popped through but is a different conversation, really).

Along with this ‘opening’, may you consider ‘giving yourself permission’, to take these steps (that your heart is asking you to) and to thoroughly enjoy the process as it unfolds for you, and the blessings from these actions, as they are placed. When you give yourself permission, you energetically open your being to the experience, and to support, encouragement and inspiration for the ‘success’ of your venture.

Energetically, ‘open’ invites you to consider something you are experiencing and to ‘open your heart and your mind’ to possibilities beyond what you can currently see or your mind can fathom. And to trust, in your practices, your faith, the unfolding (in all that you personally trust in) as you choose to be present and open.

When I see open, I also am prompted to consider what have I closed to recently, in my life, or where have I removed my attention from, recently in my life, that was in haste and/or fear-based. Usually for me, it’s because something I’ve asked specifically for was perfectly placed and my mind rejects the ease and ‘abundance’ in it or it’s because I feel incredibly vulnerable as I notice some sort of fullness or newness that touches an inner trigger point and so I ‘close the door’. Then, with prompting from my heart and/or Universe I circle back and tentatively ‘open the door’ and myself to the experience. Noticing your patterns about ‘closing and opening’ gives you clarity and understanding (which also replaces any pain from self-judgment you may have been holding) which can then amplify your overall trust (in yourself and this process) and inspire you to open to the blessings/answers you’ve asked to receive in.

We can flip that and look to open to find guidance regarding boundary work, in a specific situation, or life in general. When you know you want to remain open to something and/or open to something new (‘more aligned, more resonant, better-feeling’, etc.) it becomes easier to do so when you’ve placed boundaries around time, energy and space. So, within open is an invitation to review your boundaries and create new ones for whatever it is in you are focusing your attention/opening to.

It feels that the overall invitation is to say yes to the experiences of life that your heart is nudging you toward and to thoroughly enjoy the unfolding of each experience.

With that, I am sure ‘open’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

    • Hi Heli,

When I pull cards and read them, I like to share the physical space to kind of ‘bring it to Earth’ but also because sometimes there is a message in it that speaks to the recipient.

It’s now mid-morning, the rain clouds are heavy and dark and the sun isn’t physically shining down through them. And the drought wasn’t a ‘punishment’ and the rain isn’t a ‘reward’. I think there is lots of symbolism in that.

I took a break between pulling the previous card and yours to make and eat a lovely breakfast, for myself, full of ingredients my kids don’t enjoy and wouldn’t eat, but that I love. I’ve opened the windows to let fresh air circulate through (even though it’s a bit chilly) and so I can listen to the rain (I love the sound!) as I pull cards and share heart guidance. This feels like it speaks to one: sharing our skills can be fun and delightful (it doesn’t have to be draining or exhausting) and two: our ability to listen to our heart’s preferences (even if they don’t seem logical) as we gift ourselves the experience of delight, joy, peace as we celebrate the ‘little’ things in life, and/or simply because we’ve been gifted this moment. It’s with that energy that I am pulling cards this morning. It feels fun, delightful, an honor.

Before pulling your card, I smudged myself, the cards and my space with white sage. I also have a gold butterfly decoration on the table (symbolizing fun and joy in transformation).

With that, the card I pulled for you is *wind*.

This card offers two different interpretations: wind, as an air element and wind (that rhymes with kind) meaning to twist a gear to ready for movement.

Let’s look at ‘wind’ that rhymes with kind, first. This invites you to consider what ‘moves you’ – it could mean what energetically motivates and inspires you to open your heart (or not), and to engage with life (or not). It could also mean from a heart-based perspective what do you choose to center into as you are present to the unfolding of daily life. As you think about and feel into this for yourself, the understanding and clarity that arises will give you information as to where your motivation and centering energies support fluidity of motion and unfolding or resistance toward motion and unfolding. From there, you can make decisions to amplify, release and/or change the source of your motivation and the energies you center into.

With this, there is a saying that ‘something or someone is tightly wound’. Meaning there is lots of constriction around movement, lots of inner tension. This could be an invitation to reflect upon if something is consuming your thoughts and distracting you from being present to what your heart desires and/or the joy in life. Also if there is a body part that is communicating to you via feeling tender – like your muscle needs to be stretched.

With that, let’s look at wind as an air element. The first feeling I get, for you, is around ‘windy days’ – when gusts of wind whoosh through an area, they are strong enough to take up residual ‘stuff’ and move it. In inner work, this is really great, because when residual stuff is cleared, we are more open and ready to share and receive, with greater confidence. So, this could be an invitation to do some energetic cleansing – maybe you’ve been doing inner work and are forgetting to allow the ‘residual rubble’ to slough away. Maybe a refreshing energetic cleanse will ease any tenderness. It’s not saying ‘let go’ of something you are attached to, it’s an invitation to ‘release’ what you’ve done the work and are ready to release, like a quick sweep of dust.

Also, in my area of the world, here by the beach on the ocean, on gusty wind days, lots of people surf or kite-board, happily – activities that can only be done when wind gusts. Granted, there are many other people who prefer to be protected from the wind gusts by staying inside, but these surfers love the wind, look forward to the wind, enjoy it when they are in it (and I love going to watch because their pure joy is fun and inspiring to observe). I don’t think this is literal (like take up kite-boarding *grin*) but I do feel there is an invitation to thoroughly enjoy what delights you, and to actively participate in it, even if it’s different from what others in your circle or community, do. (Kind of like the breakfast I made for myself).

Along with this ‘wind as an air element’ is the idea of current, wind patterns. Right? I’m a sailor, and part of the fun of that is understanding wind direction and strength and allowing it to fill the sails, trimming the sails so they fill ‘correctly’ then easily and joyfully going toward a lovely destination, gliding over the ocean. Birds tap into this as well, they understand wind patterns and open their wings to glide with the current. When they try to go a different way, they are pushed back. This speaks to ease of movement, right? The contrast is when we feel pain, frustration, struggle, because we either don’t understand the current or understand it but insist upon pushing against it. This is a reminder that moving (physically and energetically) through our day can be fun, easy, gentle, joyful, when we allow it to be and that if we are experiencing push-back it’s likely a sign that we are insisting upon, instead of tapping into flow and allowing for.

In a spiritual way, this speaks to allowing Universe to support you.

I also looked up definitions of wind, because this didn’t feel complete to me. One definition says ‘breath’ as in ‘getting your wind back’. I like that and am sharing it with you, because there may be a message in it for you. An invitation to center, to breathe deeply, to exhale (getting rid of residual – that’s a slight theme, here), to re-discover and/or amplify your motivation and inspiration for doing something specific and/or creating or sharing in a way your heart is asking you to. To understand your ‘why’ in your choices. And, it could also be an invitation to take time to heal (energetically or physically) so you can feel the fullness of peace and joy, in a whole-body way, which then allows you to embrace (others, life, yourself, your faith, creating, etc.) most fully.

With that, I am sure ‘wind’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

With that, the card I pulled for you is *sweet*.

I listen to my heart nudges, so the first thought when I read your card (was not chocolate – imagine that!!) was the song by Natalie Merchant “Life is Sweet”. It might be that the lyrics have a message for you, or this song has meaning for you. However, the reason this song is currently in my realm of being is because this past week a Facebook friend asked people to post songs that inspired them to move through heart-break, or to do something they consider ‘hard’ and someone mentioned this song. It used to be one of my favorites, that I listened to when I lived on the boat (a heart-stretch, but marvelous time). Perhaps there is a message in that (how this song is ‘here’, right now) for you.

The second feeling that popped in was what I shared with Jenny in her comment, that Urban Dictionary says “jewel is a really unique and sweet person”. Perhaps, feel into that and bring it to your heart space (and maybe read my comment to Jenny about the energy of jewel, because it likely applies to you – and is far too long to copy and paste here).

What is the energy of sweet? Something pleasant, something delightful to our sense, something we enjoy. If we combine this with the song title “Life is Sweet” that’s clearly an invitation to allow life, in general, and specific experiences in it, to be as pleasant, as delightful, as enjoyable as possible (and to allow it to be more sweet than you can fathom or imagine, or than it previously has been).

I happen to love the energy of sweet. However, you might have associations with the word and feel of sweet, and I invite you to think about and feel into those. A really common one, in thinking of sweet as a treat, is that many people save ‘sweets’ until after something has been accomplished, and judge and place restrictions upon themselves if they eat too many sweets. So if you think of sweet in terms of a ‘reward’ or ‘treat’ and this association resonates with you, it could be that you limit possibility/rewards/blessings/abundance based on this association and the invitation then is to consider how good life could feel, how good you could feel while experiencing life, without these judgments and limits.

Also, when I think of sweet, I think of ‘medicine’ – as in ‘allow your medicine to be sweet’. Meaning healing, growing, opening doesn’t have to be painful or uncomfortable or something to force yourself to do. It can feel good, be delightful and pleasurable, be something that is easy to be present to because you enjoy it.

I researched the definition of sweet and found it mentioned ‘honey’: ‘having the pleasant characteristic of honey’. I love that because in energy work, ‘honey’ symbolizes gold (and abundance). This could be an invitation to allow yourself the experience of a life full of honey, and encouragement as you manifest.

If we think of sweet in terms of a candy or dessert (or lovely energetic or physical treat that isn’t food-based), let’s look at the idea of choosing (or creating) sweets that thoroughly delight you and allowing yourself to thoroughly enjoy them. To choose sweets that you love, and to allow yourself to be gifted sweets that you love.

One challenge in the ‘gifting’ is being clear about what your preferences are and saying no thank you to ingesting things you don’t love. For example, someone wishing to treat you might think they are choosing something perfect for you, but actually you dislike it greatly. Unless you tell them, from a space of love, they will keep choosing something similar, and you might become resentful or sad or feel mis-understood. This is a reminder to be clear – with yourself, others, Universe – with your tastes and preferences – so that the sweets (and treats) you are gifted are easy to receive and enjoy and feel life-enriching (which also makes the practice of receiving less complicated – it’s usually easy to receive in what lights our heart).

We can flip that and offer an invitation to you to be aware of this dynamic when you are the giver – to make sure to check in with a person to determine their preferences so that what you are giving is resonant, appreciated and enriching and creating a deeper connection (rather than a disconnect).

With that, I am sure ‘sweet’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

With that, the card I pulled for you is *surrender*.

Before I share any further, I invite you to think about and feel into any associations you may have with the energy of ‘surrender’. What I present to you, here, may be different from the associations you hold so the invitation is to center and consider what is presented.

The base energy of surrender – from an energetic standpoint – is a choice to clearly see and understand what variables are in your current life experience (in general, or in a specific experience) as they are presenting to you (not as you wish them to be, or holding them in a ‘higher light’). To see and feel this moment as it is, and to see and feel your being in this moment as you are. And in that, to choose to create and connect with, share and celebrate, these variables, and in the process to open to the newness (and the ‘goodness’) that naturally flows.

While to some, surrender might feel dis-empowering, when you look at the energetic perspective, you see there is lots of choice available and making those choices tends to feel empowering. Surrender isn’t asking us to lay down our power, it’s asking us to lay down our desire to see only what we wish and to attempt to control the process of unfolding.

Surrender definitely is not asking us to not have preferences. It’s inviting us to understand what our preferences are and to clearly communicate those preferences (which might then lead to feeling vulnerable and to uncertainty in relationship – with ourselves, Source, others, world, life). It’s an invitation to be who you are and allow yourself to be loved and appreciated as you are.

Now, if we look up the definition of surrender, one aspect is ‘ceasing of resistance’. With that, there is an invitation to center deeply, tap into flow, listen to your heart’s desires and whispers, be clear with your asks and to be ready and open to receive in, all while moving through daily life. To leave the ‘particulars’ up to Universe as you make choices about where to (in this moment) place your presence and attention, where to share your skills and creative expression and then engage in the doing of placing, sharing and creating/connecting, etc. The feel of empowerment comes from being tapped into flow, open and engaged in choices. The practice of surrender happens quite gently as your mind is focused on the action of engaging (thus, not focused on insisting upon a specific way).

I like the energy of surrender, because it reminds me to truly look at and feel into what is in my space, my life – and that clear understanding amplifies the feel of infinite possibility. Also, if something feels tender within, I can understand why and do the work to heal it. Likewise, if something seems to be flowing most quickly, any fear (around unworthiness, or readiness) is lessened because your mind is engaged in the creative and connective process.

When I feel into surrender, there is an invitation to consider the energies of resonance and non-resonance and how they play into the feel of life as you are experiencing and how you feel about life as you are experiencing it. Right? If resonance feels good and while in it, it’s easy, peaceful and joyful to experience life, then the invitation is to release non-resonance. If non-resonance feels painful to experience, contributes to life feeling like a struggle and you feeling drained, there is an invitation to release non-resonance.

An example from my life is that I’ve been in this cycle of supporting a loved one through a health-crisis. I don’t like the feel of this loved one being in a health crisis. I don’t like the feel of vulnerability as almost daily, while I advocate for this person, I am experiencing new people, new places, learning new terms and ideas about Western medicine and our health system. I feel like “I’m up against’ something old, that isn’t working. My ‘surrender’ is to clearly see what we are in, the symptoms, the known pattern of the diagnosis, the recommended meds, and to know that since I’m choosing to support this person, all of this is part of the support. Right? So, I surrender what I wish hadn’t happened and wasn’t happening, so I can be fully present to, and make a difference in, this moment as it’s happening, as I am. And, in that fullness of presence, there is an ease to advocating that wasn’t present when I resisted the whole darn thing. And, understanding the pain I’m feeling helps me to more easily and quickly heal it. We can apply this to any area of life, we choose. Maybe there is a message in that for you.

In that, is the base invitation to ‘surrender’ what you think you know, to what your heart truly understands, feels and knows – about your inner being, your divine dna, your abilities and the flow of ‘goodness’ into your life. When you know you are ‘more’ than all of ‘this’ stuff, that you don’t currently understand or might not like the feel of (or even thoroughly enjoy but want more of), it’s easier then to surrender thoughts and actions that don’t support thriving in peace, joy, possibility, in all that your inner essence energy thrives in.

To wrap up, I want to add that surrender, energetically, isn’t necessarily a loss of something (that’s often why people fear it); it tends to be a gain of connectedness, joy, abundance, etc. – through the vulnerability of being fully present and remaining open in it.

I am sure ‘surrender’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

I find, if you allow what I’ve presented to settle, as you move through your day, or the next few, some ‘aha’ will happen and this message will speak directly to you and make sense.

If you have any questions, or would like to share any insights or feedback, please do ask and/or share.

    • Hi Linda,

Thank you for the angel blessings – I love them (the angels and your blessings)! How thoughtful and kind of you!

When I pull cards and read them, I like to share the physical space to kind of ‘bring it to Earth’ but also because sometimes there is a message in it that speaks to the recipient.

It’s now mid-morning, and the sun is doing it’s best to poke through the rain clouds, which have been heavy and dark for a few days. During that time, when the sun wasn’t physically shining through them, I held on to the knowing that just because I couldn’t see the sun and feel it’s radiant warmth, didn’t mean it ‘wasn’t there’ *and* having seen it previously many many days in my life, I could easily recall the beauty and magical feel and know that energy is still accessible to me. I know that speaks to faith and trust, and blessings/miracles/perfectly placed openings.

What I’m loving about today is that I originally embraced the rain – I opened the windows to let fresh air circulate through (even though it was a bit chilly), so I could listen to the rain (I love the sound!) as I pulled cards and shared heart guidance. And, what naturally is happening is that the day is unfolding from rainy and dark to clear and sunny!! This feels like it speaks to the peace and joy in honoring unfolding and in during that process of unfolding, accepting and celebrating the ‘goodness’ in the variables that are present that one ‘can’t change’. It’s with that energy that I am pulling cards this morning. It feels fun, delightful, an honor.

Before pulling your card, I smudged myself, the cards and my space with white sage.

With that, the card I pulled for you is *teacher*.

I think this is interesting because I don’t often pull duplicate cards, but the first card I pulled, today, for Eydie was teacher. Because I personally like to offer unique readings, I was tempted to put the card back. But I had shuffled well, centered and pulled the card that was meant for you, and after writing about honoring unfolding (which I practice in life), it would have felt mis-aligned to not honor this card.

      “Teacher” it is. *grin*

For you, it feels like you’ve been offered a role to share information with people, but are feeling some internal doubt about your readiness to ‘teach’ or to fill a ‘teacher’ role. An invitation in that is to center, really feel into your divine essence energy and how your life experience holds so much richness, so much information that others can feel into and apply as guidance in their own lives – especially if this teaching role is in something you’ve ‘mastered’ (or are mastering) through life experience and/or study. And, if there are doubts about ‘how’ (as in format and structure of material) you will teach or ‘who’ (as in what people are willing and open to receive this information in from you) you will teach, simply ask Universe to show you in ways that are easy to see, understand and follow through on.

Teaching can also be as informal, fun, joyful as you allow it to be (and as structured and serious as feels good to you). You have many choices available and remembering that can dissolve some of the doubt you might be feeling.

As I shared with Eydie, there are many people who will appreciate what you have to share, and your ways of sharing – and allowing yourself that experience can amplify joy in sharing (even vulnerable stuff) and ease any doubt you may feel about sharing.

In that, there is a reminder that everything has information in it that can support the expansion of our understanding and/or our healing and growth; everything can be ‘our teacher’. And, along with that, I personally affirm ‘learning is fun, a delight to experience’ (because many people hold the idea that learning is hard/a struggle and creating and living this affirmation has changed the feel of learning for me).

With, that, is the idea of boundary work and discernment.

If you are feeling called to teach, it can also be an invitation to bless your teaching path: your knowledge; your passion for, or desire around, teaching; the materials, format, space you are teaching in; your students and flow with them; the blessings you receive in from sharing, etc.

With that, I am sure ‘teacher’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.

Thank you so much Joy…you write so eloquently & so heart centered….is there a book in the making for you?!? I can so much resonate with “teacher”. As having a degree in regular & special education my life path has been one of a teacher in schools along with educating people to buying & selling homes as a Realtor. But as of lately my path seems to be shifting/calling me to teach/facilitate a Woman’s Empowerment Group for those woman who have been in abusive relationships teaching about self love/self care. This is the first time I’m voicing it out loud to another person. This is in the thinking/beginning stages & just yesterday I asked the Universe if this is the right course of action for me to be a Life Coach of some sorts to show me the way & how to attract clients. This seems to me to be a confirmation to me. So I’m glad you kept this card – the cards are always right…they tell us what we need to know not what we want to know. So thank you again as I absorb all of this is the coming week! Namaste!!!

        • Thank you for the kind words, Linda! I have been a writer since I was old enough to write, but I’m currently preferring to use other creative expressions to communicate. There are seeds of books in the making for me, but not in the near future.

I love the idea of a Women’s Empowerment Group for those who have been in abusive relationships – I think it’s necessary and matters, tremendously so. Thank you for trusting (Source, me, flow) to share – I feel honored and delighted! Blessings to you as that path unfolds!

You are right about the cards – each time I question the guidance I receive, I share it anyway and it fits!

          Namaste.

  19. I’d love to have one, Joy, thanks. ?

    • Hi Christa,

When I pull cards and read them, I like to share the physical space to kind of ‘bring it to Earth’ but also because sometimes there is a message in it that speaks to the recipient.

I also have a gold butterfly decoration on the table (symbolizing fun and joy in transformation).

With that, the card I pulled for you is *wind*.

This is so interesting to me, because I just pulled a duplicate card (the one before yours) and now for you, I’ve pulled a duplicate. I don’t often pull duplicate cards (not even when I do 12-card spreads) but earlier today, I pulled wind for Heli. Because I personally like to offer unique readings, I was tempted to put the card back. But I had shuffled well, centered and pulled the card that was meant for you, and after writing about honoring unfolding (which I practice in life), it would have felt mis-aligned to not honor this card.

      “Wind” it is. *grin*

For you, it feels like two things: an invitation to send ‘your heart whispers on the wind’ – to give your dreams and desires ample space and time to seed, root and grow and to give Universe ample ‘control’ over the hows of the process.

Second: to open your wings and allow the wind to carry you where it may. And you might read this and say ‘I’ve just done that and am still settling from it’ but there is a reminder that there is far more to experience than what you’ve ‘settled into’. Settled meaning are getting used to and comfortable with, not meaning ‘compromised’. Although maybe compromise speaks to you in that your heart is speaking clearly about a direction or expression and you’re hesitant to follow through, so you aren’t listening as fully as you normally would. (As you feel into this, it’s for understanding, not judgment, and perhaps an invitation for self-compassion and self-kindness in the way you speak to, and about, your self and your journey.)

I’m also picking this up for you: there is another meaning of wind that I didn’t use in Heli’s reading, because it didn’t feel like it fit, but I’m nudged to use it in yours. That is ‘detecting a presence by smell or intuitive knowing’). So, this could be an invitation to trust your intuitive knowing, your heart whispers. And in soul work, sometimes when people have physically passed, we can tell their spirit is present by a distinct scent – usually perfume-y. So, if you’re open to it, it might mean that someone dear to you is offering to be your guide or an ally for you as you find your way through (or to) something. That’s really different and I feel vulnerable sharing it with you, because I’m not sure of your specific beliefs and I hope it lands well. (And also I listen to my heart in these readings, and they tend to be spot-on, so I’m trusting that and sharing this through my vulnerability.)

Now I’m going to share the parts that I shared with Heli, that feel like they also are meant for you:

When gusts of wind whoosh through an area, they are strong enough to take up residual ‘stuff’ and move it. It’s not saying ‘let go’ of something you are attached to, it’s an invitation to ‘release’ what you’ve done the work for and are ready to release, like a quick sweep of dust.

      • Thanks so much, Joy – I really appreciate all the time and care you’ve taken with these readings for so many! What a gift.

There’s much in this that resonates. Wind has been a huge thing lately, both in the literal sense and in the need to unwind. Hadn’t put those two together!

And interestingly, I have been smelling things lately that aren’t actually in the room, so to speak. Will pay closer attention now.

        I’m sure more will come…

Love and thanks to you. ?

  20. Yes, please Joy! Thank you! I’m open to receiving a message from a soul card. Much love to you for the generous and kind offer.

    • Hi Suzie,

Thank *you* for your presence to this process. Much love to you, too!!

When I pull cards and read them, I like to share the physical space to kind of ‘bring it to Earth’ but also because sometimes there is a message in it that speaks to the recipient.

It’s with that energy that I am pulling cards this morning. It feels fun, delightful, an honor.

Before pulling your card, I smudged myself, the cards and my space with white sage. I also have a gold butterfly decoration on the table (symbolizing fun and joy in transformation).

With that, the card I pulled for you is *flow*.

Flow is an energy most of us understand quite easily, so it’s not a card that requires lots of words.

However, let’s look beyond the obvious ‘center and tap into flow’, allow the goodness of life to ‘flow’ to and also through you to others.

My first feeling on reading this card, with your energy in mind, is about the natural rhythm of your body – understanding and honoring that, as you move through your day. By ‘natural rhythm’, it could be dancing and movement and pace, but also sleep timing (and preferences), physical and energetic digestion, your pace as you move through certain activities and experiences or certain days. To make time to listen to and understand what your body is communicating to you, and then to follow through by honoring that as much as possible, as you move through your day.

And the other feeling I get right away for you is about the flow of water. To drink it, yes – but also to be in, and/or near it. To physically put your being in the flow of water, in a space that you love, alone or with people you love. With the intention of *physically putting your being into flow” of the energies you enjoy being in and your heart wishes to experience more of. This could also be refreshing and/or cleansing, but the invitation is to put yourself into flow. A dip into a jacuzzi, ocean time, or swimming laps, something like that where you are physically in flow.

Flow in general is an honoring of the unfolding process and a trust in divine timing. In this, is a reminder to look at places in your life that you might be attempting to control or micromanage. Instead of micromanaging, are there tasks, opportunities, connections and spaces you can trust Source and invite flow in? And with that, is a reminder that, in general, people tend to wait to invite source energy in when spaces are ‘clean’ – but Source can clean spaces in a powerful way.

I’ve written in several comments that I enjoy the practice of blessing things. With that, you may certainly bless (by sharing love and gratitude with) every place in life you feel flow (including your body, your career, creative expression, certain connections, etc.). And, there is an invitation to allow yourself to thoroughly enjoy the feelings that being in flow brings to your experience of life (and to open to ‘more flow’ in all areas, even the ones you feel flow in – how good can you allow life to feel?).

One note: You have the control over if you choose to tap into flow, how you choose to tap into flow and how you feel as you tap into flow. You always have the opportunity to choose again if you don’t like the feel of your choice. the movement. And, it might be that you choose to tap into flow and those around you either don’t understand your choice or make a different one – that’s perhaps an edge for you. Center into love and gift your self the feeling of flow, which then blesses those around you even if they don’t understand or make a different choice.

If there is something you desire to experience, create, or someone you wish to connect with, allow that to flow to you – by clearly asking and doing the work to be open and ready to engage in the experience.

In a spiritual way, this ‘living in/with flow’ speaks to allowing Universe to support you.

With that, I am sure ‘flow’ speaks to you in a specific way and has a meaning for you in a specific area.
