Six Word Saturday: Volume Seven

I invite you to play along with me every Saturday – shaping six words into phrases the enliven, enrich, inspire, encourage, delight.

My collection of six word phrases comes from playing along on Twitter during the week with the hashtag #sixwords.

The photos are my originals, usually from the week, some from my personal collection.

May you gift yourself with silence

Sunrise at the harbor. Silence is a very nourishing, enriching gift.

sunshine invites heart whispers to blossom

These flowers delight me – I love the shape and the gorgeous color. My son and I were walking in the sun at an outdoor shopping center, getting some fresh air while waiting for my daughter to finish her activity and I found these little treasures!

Peace: birdsong, gentle breeze, morning sun …

I love walking at ocean’s edge at sunrise. This photo along with this phrase really captures the essence of what I feel. That feeling nourishes and inspires me all day long (and is well worth the initial discomfort of leaving my comfortable, warm bed to head out into the chilly darkness).

laughter and heart smiles dissolve barriers

After many takes and lots of laughter, my son and I finally got the photo we both wanted (at the same shopping center that I discovered the flowers). Laughter was a wonderful way to pass the time – we didn’t feel like we were ‘waiting’, we felt like we were celebrating connection.

Genuine love naturally overflows from gratitude.

I took this photo from a Facets video I recorded to share in this week’s module of my Walking Your Heart Path with Joy ecourse. (The video is in color, but I like my personal photos in black and white.) I still prefer to connect in person but recording videos is becoming easier for me because I am learning to envision each student’s energy and connect with (and speak to) that love, with utter gratitude for the connection.

I love the way you love.

Here is a pink sunrise kiss for you!

  1. Taking photos and adding inspirational words
    – this is my most favourite pasttime

    • I love your pasttime, Tanya – inspiring, uplifting, encouraging in all realms! (And, I am excited to share one of your photos in a future six word post!)

If I have paper while I am waiting, I like to write haiku! :) I not, then reading will do!
I love your words and photos, Joy! Will you post the video?

    My six words!

Cat on my lap purring loudly!

I sip tea to celebrate today!

Soft rain outside, cozy warmth inside.

Fall comes softly, like leaves falling.

So much color before snow falls.

    This moment is beautiful—-enjoy it.

Thanks, Joy! That was such fun! <3

    • I love your six words, Jean, because they reflect to me different variables than what I have in my life: your cat, rain, leaves falling, snow. I am smiling as I read – thank you for sharing! Plus, my sole intention for this morning was to drink tea so although you are hours ahead of me, it’s like drinking tea with a friend. *grin*

As for the video, I am working on videos for my different classes and they don’t quite fit the specific flow of my blog currently, but when they do I will post them. If you want to subscribe to my YouTube channel, you get notification each time a new one is posted – which is not at all a marketing technique, just the truth of my current creative process.
